The Best of the Maritimes

The Best of the Maritimes

This 14-night fly-drive holiday offers an in-depth exploration of Atlantic Canada’s Maritime Provinces, combining spectacular coastal scenery with rich history, welcoming communities and unforgettable wildlife experiences. Beginning in Halifax, Nova Scotia’s vibrant capital, you collect your hire car and journey at a relaxed pace through a region known for its rugged shorelines, colourful fishing villages and rich seafaring heritage. A highlight of the trip is time spent on Cape Breton Island, where you can experience one of the world’s most scenic drives along the Cabot Trail, winding past dramatic cliffs, forested highlands and sweeping ocean views. The route also typically includes the Lighthouse Route, UNESCO-listed Lunenburg, and coastal national parks offering opportunities for whale watching, coastal hikes and beach walks. You’ll cross by ferry into New Brunswick, discovering dramatic tides, forested landscapes and traditional Acadian culture, before continuing on to Prince Edward Island, famed for its red-sand beaches, rolling farmland and warm hospitality.

This itinerary is flexible and can be tailor-made to suit you; if you want to add extra days in one area, extend the holiday or maybe change the direction of travel. Talk to one of our experts about how to make this holiday the perfect one for you.
