This is a great holiday to do particularly in spring or autumn.
You will have time in each city to explore and we recommend booking sightseeing and excursions to make the most of your stay in each one.
The itinerary shown starts in Toronto and ends in Montreal, but it can be done the other way round if you wish.

Arrive in Toronto on your flight from the UK (we will book the flights for you) and spend a few days in this cosmopolitan and vibrant city. Its quick and easy to grab a taxi to downtown, although we could arrange a private transfer for you if would prefer.
There is much to see and explore in downtown Toronto from a trip to the top of the CN Tower – or maybe you are brave enough to try the Edge Walk – to a city sightseeing tour from the water, a visit to the aquarium or exploring the lesser known areas such as Yorkville or the local beach areas.

Today you will be collecting your hire car and departing Toronto the 1000 Islands region. You will be staying in the lovely city of Kingston and we recommend you explore Fort Henry, Kingston Penitentiary, take a 1000 islands cruise (or better still take a helicopter tour over the 1000 Islands for the best views of Boldt Castle – this is from Gananoque which is 30 mins drive from Kingston and can be done on your drive to Ottawa).

Today you will be heading to Ottawa, Canada’s capital for a two night stay. You may want to divert enroute to visit Upper Canada Village in Morrisburg or visit the pretty town of Merrickville.
While in Ottawa, be sure to take to the water, either on a sightseeing cruise or if you are feeling adventurous, a rafting excursion on the Ottawa River. The Canadian Museum of History over the bridge in Gatineau (Quebec) is another must-visit, and you can hire a bike and cycle through the park or maybe take the water taxi, from where you will get great views of the Parliament Buildings.

Today you will be leaving Ontario and crossing over into Quebec where your first stop will be Montreal, your home for the next three nights.
Montreal is a great city to explore on foot and we recommend you take a walking tour of Old Montreal. Be sure to visit the Notre Dame Basilica and the Old Port and again a river cruise is a highlight and an alternative way to view the city.

Today you will be following the north bank of the St Lawrence River to Quebec City, where you will spend your final three nights.
There are many ways to explore Canada’s oldest city and the only walled city in North America and a guided walking tour where you can learn about Quebec City’s colourful history is recommended. You may want to take a trip to nearby Montmorency Falls or take a full-day excursion to Baie St Catherine for a whale-watching trip.
One of the highlights of your stay will be the many bars and restaurants to explore, and enjoying the local cuisine.
