The Fairmont Royal York is one of Toronto’s historic hotels. Located downtown, with underground connection to the subway and shopping, across from Toronto railway station, it was once tallest building in the Commonwealth, rising in 28 floors of ‘architectural splendour, replete with mechanical genius and opulence’.
