Overview
The most rewarding way to experience the polar bears of Churchill is to immerse yourself in their environment; from the moment you wake up, throughout the day and into the endless winter nights! The best way to do this is staying at The Tundra Buggy Lodge.
This unique lodge is moved to Polar Bear Point in the Churchill Wildlife Management Area (WMA) for most of October and November. The lodge which has five units connected by outdoor decks provides guests with the best opportunity to view and photograph polar bears.
Please also note that the VIA Rail train to Churchill is now an option on selected departures; ask us for details.

We have had the most amazing time an overwhelming experience, when we saw the bears we were excited, emotional you name it we were it! It may sound silly but we felt humble to share this time with these great animals in their own desolate homeland - we had 29 sightings.
Everything was so well organised; food was good even what was prepared for us for lunch out on the tundra.
Thoroughly enjoyed the dog sledding although it wasn't very long it was good fun.

Take an early morning flight to Churchill. Then you will have a Churchill and area tour. Have some free time in the town of Churchill to explore. You could visit the Itsanitaq Museum, Parks Canada Visitor Centre or do some shopping.

You will have some free time to explore Churchill at leisure before an afternoon dog-sledding programme after which you will be transferred to Tundra Buggy Launch to begin your exciting trip to the Tundra Buggy Lodge. This will be your first opportunity to view and photograph polar bears. Arrive Tundra Buggy Lodge for your first overnight stay.

The next two days will be spent out on the tundra. After breakfast, you will head out on the Tundra Buggy to search for wildlife. Evenings will be spent enjoying delicious home cooked meals, watching video/slide presentations and socializing as well as watching the night sky for Northern Lights.
