Rugged mountains, stunning glaciers, northern seabirds, narwhals, and Inuit culture await you on a truly amazing Baffin Island Arctic tour.
Wildlife is returning to this very rich area of the Arctic as the summer dawns. There are northern birds in abundance, including thick-billed murre, black-legged kittiwake, and king and common eiders. You may see Sabine’s and Thayer’s gulls, red-throated loons, or even all-white ivory gulls!
The mixing of ocean currents makes for very rich marine life. Hopefully you will see several species of seals, and the amazing spiral-tusked narwhal. With luck you may see polar bear or the endangered bowhead whale. Remote wilderness, Arctic landscapes, northern wildlife, and fascinating culture promise to make this the trip of a lifetime.
The trips runs in June – ask us for exact dates.
