Canoe Adventure in the Canadian Rockies | Escape into the Wilderness

Holiday Duration: 5 Nights

"Thank you for guiding me on the itinerary"

We had a splendid holiday, thank you, and the itinerary worked well for us.  We covered a fair bit of ground but never felt rushed not stressed at the next leg of the journey.  Thank you for guiding me on the itinerary and for some superb hotels – particularly the Fairmonts in Toronto, Ottawa and Quebec.

Five Days of Fun, Thrills and Action Canoeing Down the River in Open Canadian Canoes

Five Days of Fun, Thrills and Action Canoeing Down the River in Open Canadian Canoes

This is a canoeing holiday for anyone who enjoys the outdoors. You will canoe through gorgeous scenery with a group of no more than 12 people, camp in the wilderness and still be able to enjoy good food.
There are no towns and no houses along the route, just you, the river and the forests. A truly Canadian adventure for beginners and experienced canoeists.

Demands: this guided canoe trip is suitable for beginners.  International Classification of Difficulty (1 being lowest, 5 highest) rates this stretch of the Athabasca River as Class 1 overall, with several Class I and II rapids, and one Class III rapid.

There are other longer camping/canoeing/hiking trips in the Rockies and on Vancouver Island – ask us for details.

This should be part of your longer holiday within Canada. Ask us for a tailor made itinerary to include this trip.

"The Rocky Mountaineer was superb"

Everything went to plan and ran smoothly with planes, cars, trains and accommodation. The Rocky Mountaineer was superb and a great experience, so well organised and such good service on board. The selection of hotels we ended up with was an eclectic mix. Cathedral Lodge in Field was outstanding and by far the best in terms of location, style and service. Just out of this world although the Black Fish Lodge experience was equally good although quite different. Lovely people there who took good care of us with amazing wild life spotting opportunities along with the fishing.

I can’t thank you enough for your patience in the planning process getting the package together and trying to match to our specific requirements. You always understood the brief and were quick in following up options and so on. Not an inexpensive holiday for sure but so memorable. It will be very hard to beat.
