Algonquin Canoe Adventure | Canoe, Cabin & Camping

Holiday Duration: 6 Nights

"Our guide was really very good"

Our guide was really very good, for the whole 3 days that we were with him.  He was knowledgeable about the animals, flora and fauna, and was patient and kind with the kids, even taking them canoe surfing on the lake.  As a treat our guide allowed us to take a paddle at 5.30am to watch the sunrise from a special spot on the lakes, which was totally magical.

Overview

The 5-day Algonquin Park canoe and camping adventure features a mixture of a canoe trip and log cabin adventure. This trip is great for those people who would like to experience canoeing and camping in Algonquin Park but also have a little bit of log cabin comfort. This also makes a brilliant family adventure; please ask your Frontier Canada travel consultant for details

The 3 day/2-night canoeing part of the holiday presents excellent opportunities to see moose or hear wolves while the 2 days/2 nights at the Algonquin Log Cabin offer great hiking and back-country comfort.

The Algonquin Canoe Adventure is for people at any level of experience. The pace is very relaxed, as the trip objective is to have fun, slow down and leave plenty of time to explore the beauty of Algonquin Park.

You can just experience the Algonquin Canoe Trip portion of this stay (2 nights in the park).  Ask us for a quotation including this in your tailor made holiday.

We booked our trip to Algonquin from the UK with Frontier Canada as it was a well established company with good reviews online.  The service received by email in the run up to the holiday was always polite, courteous and helpful.  Frontier provided a good brief  for our canoe trip including a packing list and so we felt well prepared.  We travelled independently to Toronto but then picked up the driving instructions to the departure point for the trip at Voyager Quest outfitters in the park.  On arrival we were met by a friendly guide, Sebastian, who set out lunch for us and the other family on the trip.  He explained what we could expect from the trip  and helped us pack our belongings into the van for a short trip to the canoes. I would recommend the canoe trip to anyone who wishes to completely get away from it all and to experience the beauty of the lakes.  The 3-course meals that were created from a barrel of food were incredible and much better than we anticipated.  We had absolutely no complaints at all about our trip and would unreservedly recommend it to others.
