This holiday itinerary takes in 2 nights in cowboy city Calgary, plus time in the Rockies to enjoy activities such as hiking, canoeing or horse-riding, plus enjoying the spa facilities in your luxurious Banff and Jasper Fairmont hotels. Opportunities abound to see wildlife and enjoy the great outdoors. Round it off with two nights in downtown Edmonton to explore the arts, restaurants and do some shopping before returning to the UK. Time the holiday right to coincide with the Calgary Stampede in mid July and experience the rodeo and grandstand show.

The entire day is yours to explore the town of Banff and surrounding National Park. There are many activities to appeal to all ages from mountain biking and white water rafting to spa treatments and boutique shopping. Why not head up the Banff Gondola for an amazing panoramic view over the town and the surrounding mountains, or take a soak in the Banff Hot Springs, or even head out on a guided Lake Louise and Moraine Lake tour which will give you amazing photography opportunities and provide you with local knowledge from expert guides.
A further day to enjoy the great outdoors and maybe take a hike through Sunshine Meadows or go horseback riding, or even treat yourself to a spa treatment at the fabulous Willow Stream spa at your hotel.

Leaving Banff behind you’ll be travelling along the Icefield Parkway, which is one of the most scenic routes in the world. Take your time and make the day of it. Make sure to stop frequently at the many viewing points along this stunning road. We will book you onto a Columbia Icefield Adventure at the Athabasca Glacier where you will head out on a Snocoach on to the glacier itself and then on to the Skywalk where you will see panoramic views of glacial valleys and snow-capped peaks.
The town of Jasper will be waiting for you at the end of the Icefield Parkway.

Jasper National Park contains some of the most spectacular turquoise lakes, rugged mountains ranges and over a thousand kilometres of hiking trails. Maligne Lake and Canyon should not be missed. Float on a gentle rafting trip along the Athabasca river, take the Skytram up Whistlers Mountain for stunning views over the town, or head out on a guided wildlife tour where perhaps you may spot a bear – there are many great experiences that can be arranged in Jasper.
A further day to enjoy the natural beauty of Jasper and the surrounding area; see the iconic Spirit Island on a Maligne Lake cruise or hike up to Mount Edith Cavell. You could of course just enjoy the spa facilities at your hotel, and relax by the lake.

You can spend a day exploring the West Edmonton Mall—one of the largest shopping and entertainment complexes in the world—or enjoy a scenic stroll through the expansive river valley parks, which are especially stunning in the summer.
