Alaska By Rail & Sea

Alaska By Rail & Sea

This holiday is a great way to see Alaska. Start off with a 7-night Silversea cruise through the Inside Passage, visiting Ketchikan, Juneau, and Skagway, with wildlife spotting, glacier excursions, and cultural experiences. Then, after disembarking in Seward and spending the day possibly exploring Kenai Fjords or hiking Exit Glacier, continue your journey on the Alaska Railroad, from Seward to Anchorage along Turnagain Arm, then north to Talkeetna for a jetboat ride, and on through Hurricane Gulch and Broad Pass to Denali National Park, including a bus tour to spot wildlife. The McKinley Explorer then takes guests to Fairbanks for city sightseeing, gold panning at Gold Dredge #8, and a Sternwheeler riverboat cruise, before flying back to Anchorage and onward to the UK.

You will travel in Goldstar on the Alaska Railroad where you will appreciate the carriages’ large wrap around windows and glass domed ceilings designed to maximise the stunning views. The dining areas are situated on the lower levels and the Dome cars also include an open air observation platform.

Alternatively, you can take out the cruise and fly directly into Anchorage, or add more time in Alaska. Our experts will advise on the best way to do this to suit you. This itinerary is flexible and can be tailor-made to suit you; if you want to add extra days in one area, extend your holiday in Alaska or maybe change the direction of travel. Talk to one of our experts about how to make this holiday the perfect one for you.

"...the trip was everything we wanted and more!"

I had been meaning to drop you a note to say a huge thank you for all your help! The holiday was fantastic, we had an amazing time. I am very grateful to you for your advice and patience at the booking stage (assisting with my many changing flight requests), and for your support you gave during our holiday with the queries we had. You were amazing, the service you provided was fantastic and I absolutely will be recommending Frontier travel and yourself in particular to anyone looking to book a holiday. Thanks again, the trip was everything we wanted and more!
