Tyax Lodge | Gold Bridge, British Columbia

On the shores of Tyaughton Lake, near Goldbridge which is about 3 hours north of Whistler, Tyax Lodge is a premier destination for backcountry adventure, kayaking, sailing, wildlife trips with trained naturalists, walking, riding (4-day pack trips also available), float plane trips. tours, horseback adventures and superb mountain lake fishing are just some of the backcountry activities available. Around the resort there are tennis and volleyball courts, children’s playground, outdoor hot tub, sauna, recreation room and fitness centre. An expansive green lawn leads down to a sandy beach and on warm evenings you can join in a lakeside BBQ with campfire.

Room Types

You will find a cozy atmosphere with accommodation in spacious double rooms, all with bathrooms en suite. With 28 guest rooms, a dining room with vaulted ceilings, a bar lounge, and patio overlooking the lake, Tyax is one of the most impressive and largest log structures in Canada. Bedrooms either overlook the wilderness at the back of the lodge or have a lakeview room with balcony.

We recommend full board as there are no local restaurants.

Access to the Resort

Tyax is remote which is part of its charm. It is about 1 hour west of Lillooet and 3 1/2 hours north of Whistler. However, you can also fly in by float plane from Whistler, Vancouver and Victoria on Mondays and Fridays. The cost is approximately £150 per person each way.
