- Outdoor viewing between coaches

Spend the next day exploring this lovely town with the mountains dramatically looming in every direction. We can include a number of tours here for you; why not head up the Banff Gondola with a breathtaking 360 degree panoramic view, or head out on a horse drawn carriage ride into the mountains for a BBQ lunch, or take a day trip to Moraine Lake and the famous Lake Louise, or head out on an early evening wildlife tour. Today you will leave Banff (either self-driving or via a day tour) and head north along the Icefields Parkway to Jasper. Stop enroute at the Columbia Icefields and head out on a Sno-coach to set foot on the Athabasca Glacier which has been a defining landmark in Jasper National Park for centuries. You will also get to experience the Skywalk – a kilometre long interpretive walkway with amazing views and culminating in a suspended glass platform!

Spend the day exploring Jasper. Maybe head up the Jasper Skytram on Whistler Mountain for stunning views over Jasper and the valley. You will need to return your car hire and check in for your Rocky Mountaineer trip this afternoon/evening to be ready for an early morning departure.

You will be collected this morning from your hotel and transferred to the train station to board the Rocky Mountaineer where you will be shown to your seats. Relax for the next 2 days, taking in the scenery, drink, food and making friends with your fellow travellers. The train stops in Kamloops for the night where you will be transferred to your included hotel. The next morning you will be transferred back to the train where your journey continues into Vancouver, arriving early evening.
