VIA Rail

The crown owned VIA Rail services travel from Halifax in the East to Vancouver in the West and up to Hudson Bay in the North, using beautifully restored 1950’s trains. There are two levels of service on each of the longer journeys and we recommend the first class service for the ambience and comfort, although the economy seating is an affordable way to experience Canada.

Economy class to enjoy spacious seating and pleasant landscapes through large picture windows. *Possibility to purchase a blanket and pillow kit for $10.00 which includes a polar fleece blanket, earplugs, a neck pillow and eyeshades.
