Overview
Ocean House offers superb all-inclusive packages that will allow you to experience the untouched, natural habitat of the breathtaking coast of Haida Gwaii like never before. Holidays will focus on the gorgeous scenery, wildlife and connecting with the Haida people and their culture. Ocean House is 100% Haida owned, and is focused on providing guests with a luxurious retreat, complete with a relaxing spa, complemented with the Haida history. Day trips are discussed and arranged locally including guided forest walks, tour of Security Inlet or Kaisun Village, kayaking and more.
We recommend a 4 night stay here in combination with a longer holiday in Canada. We have included time in Vancouver to this suggested itinerary but further recommend extending the holiday to include some bear watching or touring of Vancouver Island or even further afield. Ocean House was completely different: the helicopter arrival was amazing!!! The Haida people are some of the kindest people we have met. they cannot do enough to please the guests. The food is OUTSTANDING and responsible for my husband being considerably heavier than he was at the beginning of the trip. The lodge is extremely relaxing and in the most beautiful setting. The people working there are so dedicated and knowledgeable about their heritage that we were caught up in their enthusiasm and will never forget Haida Gwaii.

After a charter flight from Vancouver to Sandspit airport in Haida Gwaii, followed by a transfer to the northern tip of Graham Island, check in to the Ocean House lodge and meet your hosts for the next several days. A Cultural Ambassador greets you with a welcome aperitif, a gift and provides the details your upcoming adventure. Dinner included.
Each day of your stay features guided excursions with a focus on wildlife viewing, First Nations culture and arts, eco-tourism and nature sightseeing. The order of the excursions is tailored to fit the local weather conditions and preferences of the small touring group.
GUIDED RAINFOREST TREK – Trek through a lush canopied rainforest with your knowledgeable guide and learn about the various plants and fauna unique to Haida Gwaii that flourish in the quiet and stillness of this bountiful environment.
WEST COAST EXPLORER TOUR – Connect with the wild world as you head by Zodiac into an oasis of waters surrounded by rare geological shorelines dotted by the verdant foliage of the rain forest. Your guide will share stories and legends of the area and reveal some of the hidden treasures of this incredible terrain.
