to Manitoulin Island
Today you will drive through the picturesque Bruce Peninsula to Tobermory before boarding a ferry for a 2 hour cruise to South Baymouth on Manitoulin Island. The world’s largest freshwater island, Manitoulin contains 5 native reservations and one of the oldest settlements in North America, dating back 9,500 years. You will spend the next two days exploring this history and enjoying the variety of adventure activities available at your resort.
A geographic wonder, Manitoulin Island contains over 100 lakes, including Lake Manitou which itself contains several more lakes. With all this fresh water, it’s no surprise that Manitoulin offers so many boating, fishing and scuba diving adventure activities. If you prefer dry land, don’t miss a visit to Assininack Museum, Little Current- Howland Museum, or the well maintained Mississagi Lighthouse Museum.

Algonquin Park & Muskoka
In the morning, travel south following the old fur trading routes of early pioneers. You have several options for where to spend the next few nights; we recommend a stay at the gorgeous JW Marriott The Rosseau Muskoka Resort and Spa in Minet on the shores of Lake Rosseau. Alternative, stay in a resort in Huntsville or in Algonquin Park itself. Talk to our experts about what suits you best.

Depending on where you choose to stay, the next few days are yours to explore this beautiful area or to just relax and enjoy your surroundings. If you are staying by the lake, you can make use of kayak rentals, bikes or just going for a hike. Make sure you visit Algonquin Park if you are not staying there; this vast area is home to thousands of lakes and maple trees are aplenty as you explore. This is also your best chance of seeing moose in the wild, or even taking part in a weekly wolf howl (in August).

Today you will leave the scenic beauty of the Muskoka area to finish your holiday in style with a night in Niagara Falls (or Niagara on the Lake if you prefer). A must-do visit, aside from viewing the spectacular falls themselves, take a ride on the Hornblower Niagara Cruise or ask us about the other Niagara attractions including a helicopter ride over the falls or maybe a zipline. Away from the hustle and bustle of the Falls area, visit Niagara on the Lake, a quaint town with many shops and restaurants or enjoy a winery visit.
