Overview

Overview

This 3-day trip offers a sample of winter adventures including dogsledding, backcountry skiing and snowshoeing. While Algonquin Park is Canada’s most popular canoe trip destination, few people have experienced the stunning beauty of the Park in winter. These popular custom log cabin winter breaks are great either for a couple or even better if you can take a group of friends, and no experience is necessary.

Frozen lakes, waist deep snow, wildlife tracks, the howl of a wolf, and the crisp clear air are just a few of the delights of a winter experience. Beyond the sheer beauty, the excitement of mushing your own team of huskies or cross country skiing through the wilderness of the Almaquin trail is sure to keep you on your toes! Group size is limited to 12 guests and two Voyageur Quest guides who prepare delicious meals, allowing you to put up your feet after the invigorating day on the trail.

Algonquin Lodge

Algonquin Lodge

The Algonquin Log Cabin Lodge offers comfort after an energetic day on skis or snowshoes. Enjoy a wood-fired sauna, shower, and then sip a hot drink in front of the stone fireplace.

These three-day experiences feature comfortable lodge accommodation at the Algonquin Log Cabin Lodge. Located near the South River entrance Algonquin Park, the lodge features authentic log cabin construction amidst spectacular wilderness.

There is a more relaxing lodge 3 day trip that does not include the dog sledding.  Ask us for details.

"the arrangements worked perfectly"

I am pleased to say that all the arrangements worked perfectly from start to finish. The Atlantic Tours itinerary was excellent and a special mention should go to both our guide (Marion) and driver (Don) who managed everything and everybody with not only professional aplomb but also a great sense of humour. The hotels were of a very good standard as was the food that was included - suffice to say that we are now working to remove some of the extra poundage gained as a result of our indulgences! We would not hesitate to recommend your services and will be more than happy to use them again in the future.
