Canada is known for its outdoors lifestyle and just 6 miles from the centre of Ottawa you can discover Gatineau Park accessed during the summer months by a free shuttle or in winter, there are scheduled bus services for a small fee. Once there, there are a plethora of activities inside its 139 square miles. You can find the highest bungee jump in Canada, Ziplines and Camp Fortune featuring suspended walkways through the trees. Or if all that sounds far too exhausting, pack a picnic and enjoy the scenery: make it a spa day in the extraordinary Nordik Spa.
