Bugaboos Lodge sits about 1600 metres high, with 32 rooms, a wood and stone bar-lounge, a spa area with sauna, steam room, a games room, a shop, and a rooftop hot tub for extra-luxurious view catching.
Your first view from the lodge’s entrance, of the great spires of the Bugaboos and the great glaciers that swirl below them, is a signature moment. All the lodges are blessed with inspiring views, but Bugaboo must rank first among equals of places to heli-hike. There is probably no comparably stupendous range with so few visitors in the whole of North America, if not the world.
Cariboos Lodge features 28 guest rooms, bar and lounge, stunning glacial views, music room, outdoor whirlpool, massage treatments, and bouldering cave.

With morning pickups pre-arranged, embark on a 2.5 hour van ride to the helipad, followed by a brief helicopter flight to your lodge. Meet your hosts, receive an orientation to the lodge, the equipment and map out the hikes for the next two days with your guide and group. During the orientation, you will be split into groups based on hiking level. Dinner included. Overnight at Bugaboos or Cariboos Lodge.

Bugaboos Lodge
Designed with flexibility in mind, daily itineraries and destinations are arranged to best suit the skills and capability of your small group. Each morning a helicopter departs at 09:00 with its own guide for a day of exploring abundant a wilderness terrain of alpine meadows, mountain ridgelines, colossal glaciers, granite spires and glacier-fed waterfalls and lagoons. Throughout the day, the helicopter will take the group to different areas to maximize the variety of hiking experience. Daily hiking distances vary from 1 km to 15 km depending on the participants’ preference and endurance levels. Each lodge features their own ‘signature hikes’: Bugaboos Lodge guests journey to the Septet Traverse hike, Vowell Glacier viewing hike, the Skyladder Via Ferrata (a series of metal rungs designed to ascend rock faces and climb mountains), and the Crystal Trail Via Ferrata and Zipline. Guests of the Cariboos Lodge explore the mountains on their Encore Ridge & Virgin Bowl hikes and the Zilmer Canyon hike, with the area featuring unsurpassed views of remote glaciers in this northern region. The hiking groups typically arrive back at the lodge mid to late afternoon to relax and enjoy the amenities of the property before dinner. Breakfast, packed picnic lunch and dinner included.

After breakfast, Bugaboos Lodge guests board the helicopter for a scenic flight back to the helipad and land transfer back to their starting point or Calgary Airport. Cariboos Lodge guests depart mid-afternoon after lunch and hiking. Breakfast (and lunch for Cariboos Lodge guests) included.
