Overview
The Northern Lights – or Aurora Borealis to give them their correct name – are one of the most spectacular, natural sights in the world and there is no better place to see them than in the Yukon in Canada. Northern Lights Resort plays host to this amazing light show, caused by solar flares and eruptions of gas on our sun, from January to early April. Combine this with a few days taking in the winter atmosphere at the splendid Fairmont Banff Springs in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, where snowshoeing, ice skating, ice climbing and other exciting winter activities are on offer, and you will have the perfect winter holiday in Canada.

We have just returned from our week in Nova Scotia and wanted to thank you for organising it all. Both hotels were excellent, the Halliburton was very well placed in the city and their restaurant is really excellent. The Hotel Atlantica's cottage was just what we wanted, by the sea and equipped with all we needed and quiet. We explored lots of that south coast with a quick trip to the north but more to see next time! Your printed driving instructions were a GREAT help, not something we have been given before and greatly appreciated them.
