Northern Lights & Winter Sights | Blachford Lake Lodge

Holiday Duration: 8 Nights

Overview

Overview

The Northern Lights – or Aurora Borealis to give them their correct name – are one of the most spectacular, natural sights in the world and there is no better place to see them than in the Northwest Territories in Canada. Blachford Lake Lodge – visited by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on their visit to Canada – plays host to this amazing light show, caused by solar flares and eruptions of gas on our sun, from late January to early April. Combine this with a few days taking in the winter atmosphere at the splendid Fairmont Banff Springs in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, where snowshoeing, ice skating, ice climbing and other exciting winter activities are on offer, and you will have the perfect winter holiday in Canada.
