Whitehorse

Whitehorse, a staging post on the 1420 mile Alaska Highway, is the capital of the Yukon. Named after the churning waters of the White Horse Rapids, the town started life as a gold rush city of tents but is today a modern city and a jumping off place for all sorts of adventures.

You can go rafting from Whitehorse, or take a full days excursion to Skagway in Alaska which includes the famous White Pass & Yukon narrow gauge railway built during the Gold rush by the pioneers.
