Kenai Peninsula

Kenai, a leisurely and beautiful 3-hour drive from Anchorage, is located on the Kenai Peninsula where the world-famous Kenai River meets Cook Inlet. It is surrounded by spectacular scenery and wildlife, and has a rich history of native and Russian settlements and culture. The Kenai Fjords National Park are located on the south eastern Kenai Peninsula: a pristine and rugged mountain land with isolated peaks rising for a mile above a dramatic coastline and mantled by the 300 square mile Harding Icefield. Moose, bear, eagles, beluga whales and caribou all abound here.
