Algonquin Park & Muskoka

Algonquin Park is Ontario’s oldest and largest Provincial Park, covering an area of almost 3,000 square miles and is just over three hours from Toronto. While much of it is pristine wilderness, it is incredibly accessible as Highway 60 runs right through the park so it’s easy to get in and around. Wildlife is abundant – moose and wolves are among the local residents – and if you enjoy the water, there are many lakes and canoeing is one of the best ways to explore.

The Muskoka region that borders the park is home to pretty towns and resorts where you can stay for a few days to explore this area as well as the park itself.
