The Great Salmon Run is the reason why the bears congregate in large numbers in the Great Bear Rainforest of British Columbia.
Frontier Canada has been sending a few lucky people to see the bears in the Great Bear Rainforest for a number of years.
The Great Bear Rainforest is home to around 17,000 grizzly bears plus innumerable black bears and a few of the rare white spirit bears (Kermode bears). All are reliant on the health of the salmon run.
